DOLLS THAT NEVER WERE: Senior Year Fashion Assortment

During the final year of Mary-Kate and Ashley dolls being produced, Mattel introduced a series called Year of Celebrations, which was intended to be the final doll collection in the Mary-Kate and Ashley line. As part of this series, Mattel planned to release additional Fashion Assortment packs, including the Spirit Day Fashion Pack and Picture Day Fashion. Prototypes were created, and images were even distributed to Mattel dealers. However, following Mary-Kate and Ashley's decision to buy out their partners and take full control of Dualstar, the assortment was ultimately canceled before reaching production.
These fashion packs were originally slated for release in 2004.
