Mattel wanted to try something really fun. Because Mary-Kate and I are two different and separate people, they thought it would be special to have our dolls in separate packages. At first, we thought it would be weird. We always have worked together in Hollywood. We love being together. We're used to it, after all, and we're best friends. Then, we thought even best friends are independent. That's cool, right? So, we said "sure". Now, we're happy about the dolls being in separate packages. After all, so are Mary-Kate and I. We have a set in our home, right next to each other.
