Mary-Kate and Ashley Dolls

College Style: May 2004

Year of Celebrations: College Style was the final mass-produced set of Mary-Kate and Ashley dolls. At this point in their careers, they had recently bought out their business partner, Robert Thorne, gaining full control of their company, Dualstar. While prototypes for future dolls and fashion assortments were created, the twins ultimately ended their contract with Mattel and phased out major brand partnerships where they served as the public face of marketing. As they gradually transitioned behind the scenes, this marked the end of an era.
