The Super Spa Day dolls, like many Barbie dolls of the time, featured interactive elements. Using cold water, you could change the color of their lips, eye makeup, nails, and toes.
During early production, prototypes included an additional outfit, which was ultimately removed before mass production began. You can find these prototypes in our The Dolls That Never Were section.
Each doll set included clip art, spa accessories, a poster, and a vanity that could transform into a spa chair. Mary-Kate's doll features a bohemian-chic style with a loose top and flared denim, while Ashley's doll showcases a form-fitting top with loose sleeves paired with flared denim.
These Mary-Kate and Ashley dolls love to go to the spa for a day of beauty and to get ready for a fun night on the town. Cold water color-change feature turns their makeup (eyes, lips and nails) from a day look to an evening look.
Each doll also comes with a vanity that transforms into a spa chair two fashions and
other accessories.
